Loyalty

I think I demand way too much from the people I consider friends. First and most important, I expect loyalty. Unfortunately, that is what I rarely find. Maybe it would be different if I were a better friend myself. I think it's time to go back to being a hermit. Can you be a hermit while living in your parent's house? I'll let you know.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "loyalty". We all expect loyalty, I think, but I find that there are fair weather friends and you have to be clever enough to recognize these people for who they are - not an easy job. Years ago when I went through a very rough time, I quickly found out who was loyal and who wasn't. There was a lot of pain in that discovery for sure. I think, too, that honesty is right up there with loyalty. The most hurtful situations happened when someone agreed to keep something confidential and then blabbed. There has never been any acknowledgement of that. I sympathize with you entirely but don't give up on people entirely. :-)

I'm curious as to what you mean by loyalty. I also don't want to see you go all hermit.

*hugs*
